Emergency Dentistry
If you’re suffering due to a dental emergency, it’s vital that you seek professional help as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we recommend the methods below for temporary pain relief.
If you are registered with the dental team, there are pre-allocated for our patients who are in pain. For those who are not registered, please call 111 to allocate you to an emergency dentist on the NHS. You can also be seen privately with more availability.
Even if you haven’t visited The Dental Team before, we may be able to help if you need urgent dental care. Speak to one of our friendly team and we’ll try to book you an appointment as soon as possible.

What should I do if I have a toothache?
First, rinse your mouth with warm water. If possible, floss your teeth gently to remove any particles of food that may be causing an infection. You can alleviate the pain by taking overthecounter pain relief medication, but make sure that the tablet doesn’t rest against your teeth or gums as this will cause a burning reaction on your gum tissues.
If your toothache is severe, contact The Dental Team immediately.

What should I do if my mouth is bleeding?
If your mouth is bleeding due to an accident, begin by identifying the affected area and hold a cold compress to it for a few minutes. If you find that your gums are bleeding, contact The Dental Team as soon as possible.
